Since Mississippi History is taught in the fourth grade I thought I would share this great website I found while working on my social studies lesson plan. This website gives lots of information about the Choctaw Indians as well as other Indian tribes from Mississippi. The website shows pictures and gives detailed information about each Indian tribe. As a teacher you can use this information to help you prepare for your lesson, or allow the students to get on this site and do some research about the different Native American Indians from Mississippi. The other website above is another great website for social studies. Teaches can use this site to get free printable maps. The site offers a wide variety of different maps such as a map with just the states, a map with the capitals, or a map with states, capitals, and cities. This site also offers map printable with blanks on them. This gives the students the opportunity to write in the states, capitals, cities, or rivers on the maps. I also thought everyone did a great job on their lessons for socials studies. If I ever need to teach these topics I will be using y' all's lessons!!!
